Oklahoma Board of Chiropractic Examiners 2026-59A
What the document says
The Oklahoma Attorney General's office issued a supervisory opinion on November 2, 2026, concluding that the Oklahoma Board of Chiropractic Examiners has adequate support to summarily suspend the chiropractic license of Daniel Cullum, D.C. (License No. 2652) under the Oklahoma Chiropractic Practice Act, 59 O.S.2021, § 161.12(A), and OAC 140-3-3-6, as authorized by 75 O.S.2021, § 314.1, upon a finding that public health, safety, or welfare imperatively requires emergency action. Complaint No. 028-2026 was filed by a physician and a hospital director who reported two patient cases attributed to Cullum's treatment. The first allegation states that Cullum referred a patient for an ultrasound that returned results highly suggestive of malignancy, treated her for several months with that knowledge, and failed to refer her for cancer treatment. The patient subsequently underwent a biopsy that revealed invasive ductal carcinoma. The second allegation involves a patient whom Cullum treated with multiple platelet-rich plasma injections to the knees, followed by ozone and vitamin C injections. The patient later presented to an emergency room unable to walk, was found to have severe effusions, and was transferred to KU Medical Center for septic arthritis, where he underwent arthroscopy with infection flushing and intravenous antibiotic therapy. Both sets of conduct are alleged to violate 59 O.S.2021, § 161.12(B)(7) and OAC 140:15-7-5(6) and (8). Following review of the Advisory Committee report at a special meeting on October 2, 2026, the Board proposed to summarily suspend Cullum's license and ordered him to refrain from the practice of chiropractic pending a full evidentiary hearing before the Board. The Attorney General's opinion confirms the Board's proposed action is legally supported under state law.
