What the document says

On July 31, 2026, the Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance issued Insurance Bulletin 26-10 to notify health carriers and interested parties of two bills signed by Governor Kehoe on July 13, 2026: House Bill 2372 and Senate Bill 878. Both bills take effect August 28, 2026, with several provisions affecting health coverage beginning Plan Year 2027. The Bulletin does not carry the force of law but directs carriers to review the provisions for compliance purposes under Section 374.015, RSMo (2016). Section 376.417 (HB 2372, SB 878) enacts a new provision relating to 340B drugs. Section 376.1183 (HB 2372) amends existing law on mammography coverage. Section 376.1240 (HB 2372) amends existing law on coverage of self-administered hormonal contraceptives. Section 376.1245 (HB 2372) enacts a new provision governing payment for anesthesia services. Section 376.1280 (SB 878) enacts a new provision requiring coverage of non-opioid prescription drugs for treatment of acute and chronic pain. Section 376.1364 (HB 2372) amends existing prior authorization law. Section 376.1960, designated "Nora's Law," requires health benefit plans delivered, issued, continued, or renewed on or after January 1, 2027 that provide maternity benefits to cover a prescribed home blood pressure monitoring device and home blood pressure monitoring device services for pregnant women or women within twelve months postpartum when determined medically appropriate under American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists guidelines. The Department stated it will work with health carriers on a case-by-case basis where policy form filings for Plan Year 2027 require amendment or other changes to comply with the new laws.
